On the 17th March 2015, a group of students got their sweat on and ran wild in Victoria park in the dark before getting paint bombed at the finish line, all to raise money for Nightline!
This was Nightline’s Nightrun, whereby people ran, jogged and walked either 2.5k, 5k or 10k in the 8pm darkness to help promote our service and provide some much needed funds.
Research supports the need for services like Nightline to be in place, with many students reporting distress, especially at nightime. On top of this, students often want to talk to other students about their problems and so Nightline Leicester ensures a student volunteer is there for others to call whether it be just for information, a quick chat or to talk about a problem they are experiencing or have experienced.
Well done and a massive thank you to everyone who took part, and please watch this space for an even better and bigger Nightrun next academic year!
